Tamaira is a St. Louis native and she started dancing at the early age of three years old. Tamaira is the Diva University’s 2020-2021 Powerhouse Divas Parade Head Captain. Tamaira is a well-rounded dancer with experience in tap, ballet, jazz, lyrical, pom and cheer. Her favorite style of dance is pom dance. 

Tamaira has danced with LaVerne Meier and Dimensions Dance Studios. Under the direction of Dimensions Dance Studio, Tamaira has performed a variety of genres of dance including a Harry Potter musical theater piece. During the summer Tamaira trains in cheerleading under the direction of T’ya Strons of the STL Broncos Youth Sports Organization.

Dance has become a priority in Tamaira’s life. When you see her dance, you can see passion, love and A-T-TI-Tude! During her free time she likes to sing, play with her dog, and swim. Tamaira likes to learn new choreography and she understands practice and determination makes a strong dancer. Tamaira hopes to dance in college and after college, she hopes to teach other black girls to express themselves through dance.
