All first year dancers ages 8-18 joining The Diva University must participate in and pass the pre-majorette program. The purpose of the pre-majorette program is to weed out the students who are ready to move up to a new level and prepare to compete from those who are in need of more training prior to competition.

Peewees and Mini's do not have to participate in the pre-majorette program until they are 8 years old. Peewees and Mini's are automatically placed in a Division Program with students their age.

During the pre-majorette program, faculty focuses on dance technique, flexibility, showmanship, intensity, rhythm, and execution. Every 12 weeks a skills exam will be conducted for placement. Each student must execute all skills taught during the pre-majorette program before receiving placement to a performance level or the student must repeat the pre-majorette level.
