Coryelle Scott

​Coryelle Scott (Coach Cory), a native of Kansas City, Missouri, started dancing with Southeast Community Center's Dance Revolution in1989 under the direction of Toinette Evelyn Tamayo and Caruthers Creative Center in 1992 under the direction of Betty Nichols and Edward and Donna Johnson. She has trained in ballet, tap, jazz, acrobatics, modern, contemporary, lyrical, pointe, hip-hop, and liturgical and has won numerous awards as a Hot Stepper competitive team member. Coach Cory has also, won numerous awards such as Miss Majorette of Missouri and trained in competitive baton twirling under the direction of Douglas Daniels 1994-2001.

​Coach Cory graduated from Hickman Mills High School in Kansas City, Missouri where she was a Color and Winter Guard member in 2001-2005, a Varsity Cheerleader in 2002-2005, Cheerleading Captain in 2003-2005. Coach Cory became an UCA All-Star Cheerleader in 2004, a Live at the GEM house dancer in 2004, and a member of the National Spanish Honor Society in 2005. She also participated in marching band (twirler/guard), modeling club, track & field, and dance company for her high school.

Coach Cory attended Texas Southern University (TxSU) in Houston, Texas while majoring in Administration of Justice in 2005-2008. While attending TxSU, Coach Cory was a Tigress Sensation (basketball dancer) 2005-2008, the Tigress Sensation Captain 2006-2008 and a Motion Dancer for the Ocean of Soul Marching Band 2006-2008; where she learned hard work, leadership, and integrity.

Following the birth of her first child in 2008, Coach Cory was hired as a baton, cheerleading, and acrobatics instructor for Caruthers Creative Center. She became a member of the Midwest Titans Semi-Professional Cheerleading Team in 2009, became a member of Identity Dance Company, and became a member and praise ministry dancer for her church, Canaan Worship Center in 2010.

Coach Cory became the Dance Coordinator for the Gateway Region YMCA in 2016, got married, and became the Golden Line Dance Team coach for Hazelwood Central Middle School in 2018. She became the cheerleading coach for Hazelwood Central Middle School in 2019, the Junior Varsity Cheerleading Coach for Hazelwood Central High School in 2020, the head coach for the Hazelwood Central Hawkettes Dance Team in 2022, and the assistant cheerleading coach for the Hazelwood West High School Cheerleading Teams in 2024.

In 2013, Coach Cory started her entrepreneur  career and started her first small business called Stiletto Fitness. In 2014, she founded the Sassy Divaz majorette dance team in Kansas City, Missouri; followed by founding the Saint Louis, Missouri chapter of Sassy Divaz in 2015. Coach Cory opened her own dance studio, Auxiliary Studio, in 2017, helped found Auxiliary Quest in 2019, and helped found Diva University in 2020.​

Coach Cory is currently a wife, a mother, an Author (The HBCU Danceline Prep Workbook), a small business owner (The Diva U), a web designer, and a content creator. Coach Cory is the co-founder and Director of The Diva University, Head Auxiliary Coach for The Diva University's Sassy Divaz dance program, a trainer for The Diva University's college prep Auxiliary Quest program, and assistant coach for the HWHS cheerleading team. Coach Cory is currently a member of the Stl HBCU Alumni Association, the Ocean of Soul Alumni Association, and the National HBCU Auxiliary Dance Director Association. She is driven by her belief that  (branding and auxiliary) education creates a realization for success; and that realization pushes results through her services. Coach Cory's innovative graphic designs, consulting, products and curriculum, has helped her to create her own lane to  service  her community while changing lives.
